Equally an upright city bike may never give the heart and mind the workout that comes from zooming along on a pencil-thin racer. Then there&#8217;s shopping. Picking up a week&#8217;s food and sundries for one, nevermind a family, can exceed the limits of bicycle. For some the answer is found in a somewhat cumbersome trailer. Christophe Machet has designed a more practical answer, one which seeks to combine the functions of transporting an individual and their necessities. Perhaps in the future it will be unusual for the bicycle-oriented not to have two or three bicycles, each tuned for a purpose, just as a cabinet maker employs a variety of chisels.
